Summer is wrapping up! This weekend, we’re going to the North Fork with some good friends. By the time I have another weekend in NYC, rosé season will be wrapped up and fall will be ready to begin! Here’s to the last few summery weekends, and some reads and recs to kick you off:
My new favorite Friday tradition: listening to The Splendid Table on my commute home from work. I have a long commute, so I’m always looking for new podcasts for the trek. This one is a delight and gives me inspiration for some weekend cooking projects.
Sometimes on the aforementioned long commute, I mix it up with an audiobook. Lately I’ve been listening to The Handmaid’s Tale. I haven’t watched the series, so I’m not certain how it differs… but the audiobook is very good.
This scene on the floor of the US House of Representatives shows on camera what women face off-screen every day. Take Rep. Jayapal’s advice and don’t be afraid to speak up!
